Wugga asked: I am an 18-yr-old guy, I’m 5 foot, 11 inches and weigh 125 lbs. I am in great shape — I race mountain bikes cross-country and ride hard 5-6 days per week. I find it a bit hard to believe that I have much fat on my body, yet I seem to have a bit of a gut that simply won’t go away.
It’s not really noticable when I have my shirt on, but at the pool and such, it kinda looks like I have a few extra pounds, especially when I am bending over and such. Is this just my body type, or what?
Just to clarify, I do not think that I have any extra weight or feel like I need to lose weight or anything… I just wonder why it looks like I do.
Perhaps I’m just worrying way too much about this (and I’m not freaking out or anything, just kinda curious), but I have friends with perfectly flat abs who don’t do anything but sit around and watch TV all day.

Robert Sheehan asked:
Your treasured mountain bike holidays would be ruined if you were not riding the right bike. Bikes meant for mountain holidays are designed to provide a smooth ride over rough and rugged terrains.
Mountain bikes are equipped with flat knobby tires and a capacity of extra traction and shock absorption. Previously, mountain bikes had flat straight handlebars. Now the trend has changed and the recent bikes are fitted with riser handlebars. This provides more grip to the rider as he whistles away on the bike enjoying every moment of his craggy holiday.
A Ride On A Mountain Bike Is The Best Part Of The Holiday
Mountain bikers always love to walk on the wild side. They enjoy going for mountain holidays on their machines and getting the opportunity to try out trails that are quite uncommon to the usual on road bikers. Moreover, the culture, scenery and adventure, a biker comes across during a tour of the mountain are indeed splendid.
For this and more attractive reasons, several touring companies have come forward to offer tempting mountain bike holiday packages with occasions to lose yourself among the wilderness of nature.
Based on this, numerous mountain bike companies are coming up with attractive tour packages. The companies who have not yet started with the package touring process are hoping soon to be in the line to keep up with the increasing demands of mountain bike tours and holidays.
If you are looking for a mountain bike vacation package, you can also link up with travel agents who offer opportunities lesser than several mountain bike companies. These companies are glad to offer tours both guided and self-guided. Self-guided tours are best for those who find life more adventurous and challenging. On the other hand, guided tours are essential when you are on a mountain tour for the first time or in some hostile land.
In matters of self-guided tours, the company makes all arrangements so that you can well reach the spot where you prefer to take your ride. Thus, you move unguided on the trails. Under such circumstances, you should have the experience and the confidence to combat adverse situations like injuries and breakdowns. You should always carry a map with you and should have some basic knowledge of navigation.
Make sure that you have a proper knowledge of the arrangements before you opt for the tour. If you have prior information about the other people accompanying you on the tour, you can completely prepare yourself from all perspectives.
In some mountain bike tours and holidays, the companies provide excellent bikes for you to choose while others may allow you to carry your own bike for your convenience. Foods may or may not be offered to you in the packages. Whatever the situation may be, it is essential that you be well informed before you are ready to set out on the journey.

Mountain Biker asked:
I’ve broke 4 shoelaces since the start of year mountain biking. I need to find a pair of shoes that I can wear mountain biking, without laces. Vans and converse slipons seem a bit flimsy, any other suggestions. Right now I have been wearing skate shoes without laces, and I tried Doc Martens but the laces broke two fast. Now they don’t have shoelaces. Any suggestions, I’ve trying tucking the laces in, and double knotting, yet trail side branches, and rubbing next to the gears and chain, break them quickly, or if they don’t the next time I wear the shoes the laces break when I’m at work or out and about. It’s really embarrasing to have to finish what i’m doing and then find shoelaces. Anyone else with this problem?

Gregg Hall asked:
Many people these days are pursuing healthier, more active lifestyles. These people are discovering the benefits of having a strong fit body. One of the ways people are choosing to exercise is bike riding. On-road or off, bicycling is a great way to have some fun and get into better shape.
The fastest growing segment of the bicycle market is that of the mountain bike. Mountain bikes are multi-geared bicycles designed specifically for trails and any other non-paved surface. Even if you don’t plan on doing much trail riding, you’ll appreciate the mountain bike’s design next time your speed over a pothole or surmount a curb.
When shopping for a mountain bike you’ll encounter a wealth of options. It can be a little overwhelming but we’ll break it down for you to make your decision easier. First of all, you need to determine your budget. How much are you willing to spend? Everything starts here. You should budget as much as you possibly can because costlier bikes perform better than cheaper ones.
When it comes to mountain bikes, it’s not just a name you’re buying. Higher priced mountain bikes really are worth it in the long run. They’re lighter, stronger, more comfortable, more reliable, and have more features than a cheap bike. Related to cost is where you’re going to buy the bike. We recommend purchasing your bike from a bike store as opposed to one of those “big box” retailers. The employees at your local bike shop will be far more knowledgeable about their products than the people at those sprawling, impersonal cathedrals of capitalism. A bike from a local bike shop might cost more but your overall experience will be significantly better.
After deciding how much you want to spend, you need to figure out what features are important to you. This is where things can get a little confusing and where you’ll find the added value in patronizing a local bike shop where all these details can be explained and elaborated upon.
Many mountain bikes today feature full suspensions. This means that both the front and rear wheels are cushioned with some sort of system which will give you added comfort and control when negotiating tricky terrain. Of course, this adds to the price of the bike. Many bikes are made with just a front suspension. This cuts down on cost and is quite suitable for most riders. You can get a mountain bike without any sort of suspension. The choice is yours.
Try out all different sorts of bikes and see which one you like best. Again, listen to the advice you get from the pros at the shop, and do some research online. There’s a wealth of helpful information on mountain bikes available on the web. Mountain bike magazines are also an excellent resource. Of course, there are many other things to consider when purchasing a mountain bike, but for the beginner, it’s best to just narrow it down to how much you want to spend and what kind of suspension you’re going to want.
Remember to test-ride any bike you’re thinking about buying because the feel of the bike is all-important. Read reviews and heed the advice of experts. In no time you’ll be cruising through the woods and getting into great shape.

These giant mountain bikes are more preferred for their durability rather than style. This is because the materials used to make this category of road rulers are simply the best of the lot. While the design is executed, the company follows a quality control process and the sort of customer service they provide sets a high level for other companies to meet.
The giant with its matt black finish and usual characteristic features astounds passers by with its magnificence in style and stature. Balance of strength is what matters the most in case of all mountain bikes and when talking of giant bikes on the mountains, the strength is well distributed throughout this mechanism on wheels.
These giant varieties boast of the lightest mid-range frames you would hardly notice in case of other bike varieties. The fork, brakes and the wheels contribute to the total weight of the bike and the rest is all light and easy to manage.
Usually anything massive gives you a feeling of extra weight and you feel hesitant in managing the mechanism. Only these world-class giant mountain motorbikes make you feel light and comfortable to ride on. Therefore, it is time to say YES! to giant mountain motorcycles.
