I said ‘a variety’ of things, i mean local cross country offroad type races rather than road races. It’s just that some classes like cyclocross require certain bikes.

My only mountain bike right now is a 06 Kona Kikapu. Because of the Fox Vanilla coil shock it is basically one of the strongest cross country full suspension’s you can have (little heavy of course). I love this bike, but this summer I am trying to improve my jumping game. I want a DJ bike, that I could you know take to Ray’s if I went. I am thinking of either the Mongoose Fireball…the Jamis Kromo (i **** hydraulic tho)….the GT chucker or 2.0 or the Jamis Komodo…which I know is built like a jumper, but has 24 damn gears? Please, any opinions?

I have a mountain bike that has front and rear v-brakes. Is it better to have them looser so that they wont lock-up and cause skidding? Or is it better to have them tight so you can stop faster? THANKS

I am taking a cruise and Curacao is one of the ports-of-call. We can’t decide whether to mountain bike or kayak. Has anyone been to Curacao to recommend one over the other? Is the view of the shoreline more beautiful than biking through the island? Any other suggestions for a must-see in Curacao?

I just use my bike to bike around the neighborhood and thats pretty much it.
I have a bike right now but I doubt that its any good.. I got it from my parents a couple of years ago when I was in middle school, but I really want to start mtbiking because it sounds like a lot of fun.

What are the basic techniques that I have to learn?
